As the Akan adage goes, it is a taboo not to hear of new stuffs at the rising of the sun. The world is fast changing with creative innovations, people defying odds and putting in much efforts to change the status quo.
Women are known to be soft and weak and are made to choose professions which does not demand efforts. Professions such as engineering, farming, commercial car driving and security combating are the preserve of the masculine gender. Previously, women were made only to engage in petty trading, caring for her household and other soft skills that requires less energy and enthusiasm.
The story is not the same today as women are living the saying "what men can do, women can do it better". The floodgates have been opened and women do not depend on men anymore but are changing the status quo.
A beautiful, brave and amazing young lady have been seen setting the pace for others to follow. In the picture, the resilient lady is laying bricks in an uncompleted building. In an era of growing immorality among the youth, this girl did not take semi-nude pictures of herself to flaunt it on social media to solicit for romantic affairs in exchange for money, but has taken a bold step to work as a mason in an of era of high unemployment rates.
