A 30 years old man identified as Kwawu, who have been dating a 26 years old unemployed Ghanaian nurse has suddenly lost his girlfriend. The incident happened after she got posted by the government to resume her new government job.
He narrated that the lady called off the relationship despite plans being far advance for the couple to tie the knot. He said the lady did not give him any tangible reason for the break up and this has got him wondering if it was because she now has a better employment.
The young man lamented that before she got posted she earned very little from locum at a private facility and he has been her main source of support. He even claimed that he often helped her with rent even though she had living parents. Kwawu lamented that he was sure that what they shared was love but could not understand what has suddenly changed.
Kwawu further added that they had done the knocking ceremony and were not far from getting married. It however appears that his long time girlfriend and family are now determined to return the items that were used for knocking. So that they lady can be free and find another partner.
News of women leaving their partners when their socioeconomic situations improve appears to be happening too often. And sadly, it is increasingly becoming clear that women choose partners based on situations.
