How To Tell If Someone Is A True Friend

You’ll make a lot of different friends during your life, but true friends are hard to come by and far more rewarding. Luckily, true friends are pretty easy to spot, and knowing the signs of a true friend will help you figure out who to get closer with and who to stay away from. Here are ways to Tell If Someone Is A True Friend:

1. They are always there for you, especially when you need them the most. When they can’t, they make sure you know they wanted to be there for you.

2. They don't show up only when you're down in life. They are there to help you celebrate your successes, as well as embrace your failures.

3. They stick around when you tell them to leave you alone.

4. They are happy for you, and want the best things for you, even if it means you might have it better than them.

5. They notice what you do for them, and they reciprocate it. If not, your efforts get acknowledged.

6. It's never about who’s going to pay today. It's about, “You have always got my back!”.

7. When you fail in life, they guide you and do not sympathise with you or keep mute about the whole situation and let you deal with it alone.

8. They are direct, and straightforward on the face. It is only cowards that talk behind your back.

9. They don't judge you, but let you know exactly when and where your fault lies.

10. They might not show their friendship with you on social media, but they show it in real life.

11. A True friend will never leave you alone, especially when you're facing lots of problems.

The difference between this and a romantic relationship is that you've known them for a long time and it is always better to have a best friend. Leave yourself open to still having best friends to go to if your relationship fails. Everyone needs that special someone who will always support them through every hard time in their life.
