The process of intimacy can be greatly affected by what you consume before it. That is why your diet ( especially a few hours before the act). Needs to be properly scrutinized. In the same way foods like watermelon, tomatoes, bananas and carrots are healthy for consumption before intercourse, some foods need to be avoided before the act. Some of those foods include;


Alcohol is one food you should avoid before intercourse. Research has shown that drinking too much can stop these physiological responses and impede the wetness of the female organ, resulting in friction and discomfort. Everyone should try to avoid this drink before intercourse. 

Cheese and bread

Try to avoid cheese and bread before intercourse. This is because bread doesn't digest or absorb well in the body. They are also high in FODMAP (fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols). This implies that they could lead to high levels of gas or cramps (maybe even during your intimacy ). Try to limit your intake of it a few hours before the act. 


This is another food you should try to avoid before intimacy. Too much caffeine increases your cortisol levels, which is the stress hormone. High amounts of this hormone make it more difficult for your body to relax thus lowering your urge for intimacy. 


Fruits should also be avoided before intercourse. This is because they digest quickly, a lot more quickly than anything you could eat. And that can lead to cramping, gas, and general discomfort. Try to limit your intake of it before intimacy.
