Marriage they say is a long journey, you must learn how to compromise before you say yes I do to someone. Although, society has set up a notion that women should be the ones preparing family dinner, regardless of her daily schedule. Married couples should be ready to talk things through, especially when it comes to who does what in the house. Media personality, Bella Mundi of TV3 took to social media via, Twitter to quiz netizens about a working wife's responsibility.
In her tweet, she said your wife leaves home for work at 6am, returns at 7pm. You still expect her to make dinner". Her tweet has generated a massive reaction, as Ghanaians are sharing their opinions about the question. Her question is quite intriguing, as many modern day wives do not have time to prepare the family dinner, due to their work and daily schedule, but should that be an excuse?
Many Ghanaians under her tweet believe, cooking should be the sole responsibility of wives, however should her schedule be that tight, then if by any chance the husband could assist her with that, then there's no harm in trying. And they say the way to a man's heart is through food, hilarious, but it is true in some cases. One user replied her question by saying, he married a wife and not a business tycoon, so he'd still expect his wife to make dinner, regardless of the time she closes from work.
However, to live happily in your marriage, communication and dedication is key, as I believe most busy women could prepare the family food that can last for at least a week, and I believe this can be done during weekends. Husbands, on the other hand, could lend a helping hand to their wives whenever they get the chance. So what do you think about Bella Mundi's tweet, share your opinion, and check out what Ghanaians are saying.
