The committee members who were selected during the last meeting of Chiefs and opinion leaders on the need to reopen Chunderi Market met the Ankobea Hene of Chunderi on Monday 19th April, 2021at the residence of the Ankobea Hene. They started the Meeting at exactly 10:00 a.m. prompt.
The Secretary begun the meeting just after the opening prayer by reading the previous minutes to all.
The Market Chairman (Abdulai Simon) gave an account on the steps and processes they took as far as the market is concern. The decision for the date of reopening the market was said by the Chairman as a proposal from the Ankobea Hene, his elders and the Market board. The members present agreed for the Market to be reopened on Tuesday the 11th of May, 2021.
The market Chairman therefore explained to all on how the plots for selling in the market were given and the need for all to use two weeks to complete their shades or area of sale before the reopening date. He also made it clear some rules and regulations as far as the market is concerned and urged all to help in educating the others.
The Ankobea Hene of Chunderi finally spoke, by thanking all for coming. He urged all to support in one way or the order for the progress of Chunderi and it's market. He advised that all should be watchful, respect one another, take ethnicity out and see themselves as brothers. For that matter, if a brother has wronged anyone in anyway they should look for a place in their heart and forgive.
Nana Ankobea Hene prayed for peace and development as no area can be developed without unity and peace. Resources of the area should not be allowed to be wasted on frivolous wars and trivialities. He urged all to make it a point to be present on Tuesday 11th May, 2021 for the reopening of the Chunderi market.
