Many people in relationships have wrong impressions about their partners. They think their partners are exhibiting genuine love towards them but facing the reality, it is all an illusion. Some people stick around just because of the little benefits they get from their partners.
Umunyana Gaudence is quite different from those people. She is the kind of person who marries based on the soul of her partner and not his physical appearance.
Afrimax English channel made this important interview and in the interview, you get to understand that Damian was born with both arms working properly. Everything was okay till he had an accident at work during one night shift. Damian had to disclose that a machine at his workplace chopped off those arms.
Life had then been switched to the "difficulty level" since he wasn't used to such a thing. He was dating at that point and when his girlfriend heard the incident, she broke down into tears.
One revelation he made was the fact that, his girlfriend accepted his proposal after the incident happened. I wonder the number of people who would accept the proposal of their partners, knowing well that they have lost both arms.
He claims this is what he told her, "Though my hands are not functioning, my head is working properly, I love you and wish you could be my wife".
Since Gaudence wasn't after physical appearance, she accepted the proposal and they are now living happily together. The couple have three children and are looking forward to enjoying the goodness that comes with life.
Indeed, love goes beyond the physical. She never gave up on him and is still supporting him up to date. Here is the link to the video.
