Even though 3 of the bridesmaids are blood sisters, 50-year-old Mohammad Ssemanda, a restaurant owner at Kasenyi launch site in Wakiso region, Uganda, surprised everyone when he wedded the 3 of them together at the same time.
The ceremony was held on Wednesday afternoon at Sophia Namaalo's residence, which is situated in Katabi local council in Wakiso region, Uganda's New Vision reports. This ecstatic groom said that all of his wives had decided to get married on the same day because they love him, even in the face of financial difficulties.
"I can categorically state that my wives are not jealous of one another. They've each found a place where they belong, therefore, I decided to work further and help them as well", Ssemanda remarked.
The bridesmaids who were Salmat Naluwugge's first wife and the 48-year-old Salmat Naluwugge had been together for about twenty years plus their 5 kids. There are many other ladies who are Jameo Nakayiza, a 27-year-old, and Mastulah Namwanje, who is 24 years old and is Mastulah's sister. In addition, they have kids.
Salmat Naluwugge stated that she, as well as the other brides of Ssemanda, were grateful to Allah for their blessed union, which had lasted over two decades.
Naluwugge was clearly delighted, proclaiming, "I commend our hubby for agreeing to marry the three of us together, an indication that he will never mistreat or make any of us suffer."
Many neighbours were excited to learn that Ssemanda had saved money by getting married to 3 sisters together on the same day, stating that it cuts expenses.
