Form three (3) students in senior high schools in Ghana were to reopen after the Easter break, that is on the 6th of April, 2021 and to vacate on the 28th of May, 2021.
On the 6th of April 2021, that is the day to resume, a press release dated 6th April, 2021 and signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo ( Head of Public Relation Unit) indicated that management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the reopening that to 5th May, 2021.
She continues by saying that " this to give the SHS3 students an uninterrupted instructional period till they write their final examination. This means that when final year students report on 5th May 2021, they will be in school until they write their final examination.
On contrary to this, there has information on social media indicating that the management of the Ghana Education Service has further postponed the reopening date to 28th May 2021.
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has release a press dated 20th April, 2021 that the said new date(28th May) is fake.
That is reopening date for SHS3 students remains 5th May 2021. Thank You.
