‘I started having affairs with boys when I was nine years old, but encountered Christ in 2018

Aaron Adjetey Akron has disavowed the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community, calling their practices "unnatural" after claiming to have had affairs with guys for two decades.

Mr Adjetey Akron, now a priest, said at a news conference on Friday that being attracted to the same sex is an unnatural choice, not a genetic trait, as many LGBTQ+ movements believe.

"No one is born gay; it is only a feeling," he says, adding that "it is conceivable [for gays and lesbians] to come out."

On October 6, some of the Church of Pentecost's top executives marched to Parliament to offer a memorandum in support of the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill's passing.

The proposed legislation, dubbed the Proper Human Sexual and Ghanaian Family Bill, 2021, outlaws LGBTQ+ activity and activism.

Opponents, on the other hand, claim that if the bill becomes law, it will violate the fundamental human rights of people who identify with the group.

However, the ostensibly cured gay emphasized that legalizing what he called "ungodly" acts as a death decree for the country.

Mr. Adjetey Akron also quoted the Holy Bible, claiming that LGBTQ+ activities are fleshly cravings, and that people must exercise self-control.

Mr. Adjetey Akron shared his story, saying he was on the verge of marrying his partner until "he met Christ" and turned a new leaf.

"I started having affairs with boys when I was nine years old, and when I discovered Christ in 2018, everything changed." "You may say that's how you feel," he added, "but it's not natural."
