Marriage is a ceremony that involves a bride and a groom who have decided to stay together till eternity. That’s, why marriage they say is a better for worst affair. Glamour and glitz always accompany weddings. Merry making is an integral part of weddings. The groom and the bride’s family and well wishers, all throng to wish and hand over the bride over to her husband. Merry making is not new to Ghanaian marriages. In fact our checks suggests many Ghanaians prefer the merry making to the actual wedding, because that is where the food and drinks are located.
Many Men of God, have one way or other, given their daughters’ hand in marriage, many times. Three such pastors are Rev. Sam Korankye Ankra and Pastor Mensah Otabil and Pastor Chris
The first one is Rev. Sam Korankye’s daughter
On the 7th of July, the second daughter of Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, whose name is Naa Dromo Korankye-Ankrah, got married to Dr. Charles Samuel Nana Nimo in a traditional wedding ceremony. Rev. Sam Korankye is the founder and General Overseer of Royal House Chapel International. The marriage ceremony was graced by family members of both the bride and the groom as well. Also, in attendance was church members of Royal House Chapel. The white wedding, as it is popularly known, was done in July 10th.
The bride received many gifts from loved ones and well wishers from all walks of life. It is known by all, that, the groom normally give gifts to the bride, but to the surprise of many, Dr Charles Samuel Nana Nimo gave his bride one million dollars as a gift for accepting to live her entire life with him. The newly wedded couple dressed gorgeously and beautifully.
We wish their new step in life a success.
The next one is Pastor Mensah Otabil’s daughter
Pastor Mensah Otabil is the GenerYOverseer of the International Central Gospel Church. His daughter, who is Nhyira Otabil got married to Harry, who happened to be her long time boyfriend. The wedding ceremony took place in the year 2014, at the church premise in Accra. Their marriage was graced by both couples family members, as well as church members and well wishers. In an interview with the General Overseer, who also happens to be the father of the bride, he didn’t collect any money from his daughters husband. He also stated that, he paid for the whole wedding ceremony. When asked, why he did that, he said it was something he and his wife thought to do for all their daughters and sons, when they decide to get married. They are now blessed with two lovely children.
Lastly, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome daughter
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is the Head pastor and General Overseer of Christ Embassy. His daughter by name, Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome, also got married in 2018 to his long time boyfriend Philip Frimpong. He is a businessman and also a Ghanaian. Their marriage are the display of two cultures, thus, Ghanaian and Nigerian. The couple are now blessed with a bouncing baby. Their first girl is called Arielle Rachell-Marisse Frimpong.
