Thinking that love is a feeling. Love is a choice, and a commitment. It's something you do, not something you feel. Trust those who act like they love you, not just those who say that they do.

Drugs and alcohol can be addictive, which means that they will make you do things you normally wouldn't do. Pay attention and be cautious with them.

Beauty is a temporary craving, it loses value with continuous presence, other traits are much valuable.

A right relationship can enhance your happiness and success in life.

There must be a balance between good life (memories) and goals. (Ignoring one of them may leave you hollow from inside)

Avoid blowing money on alcohol. A night out with the boys, or a night out for the girls. Sounds fun right? Yeah okay, cool. Some people spend upwards to GHC 300 to GHC 400 bucks in one night just to have “fun” But you had fun right? Made some really fun memories? However, after that, it’s time to start saving that money for things that are far more important in your life, like school, a home, and your future. The earlier you start, the further ahead you’ll be from everyone else.

Avoid settling for something that you do not like, especially your career. If you feel that the field you are in is not of your interest too, this is the time to change it and get on the right track. Once you hit 30 or start your family, you will not have as much freedom to make a random change in your career.

Don’t neglect your health. You will not realize how your body changes once you hit 30. All your bad habits will reflect on your body, and you don’t want to be on meds for the rest of your life. Eat healthily, don’t smoke or drink and exercise regularly.

Start saving money early on. Learn about good investment opportunities and start asap

Be brave and confess your love or feelings for anyone you like. What’s the worst that could happen? They may reject you. But it is better than wondering what could have been for the rest of your life.

Spend time with your parents and be kind to them. Once you reach mid-age yourself. you never know when will be your last conversation with them.

Start work-life balance early on. Don’t make it a habit to work till you drop dead. Know your body and mind’s limits.

Don't have kids yet until you are financially, emotionally, and mentally ready to take on such a tremendous responsibility of being a parent.

Not focused on learning if you're in school. Education is costly in terms of both time and money but can also be the best investment, you don't want to waste them by just partying.

Not focus on working and doing your best during work. You have best chances to make an impression and make advances in the 1st several years when starting a job, which likely is before your 30's.

Not exploring and pursuing your interests at least in your spare time (if your study/work doesn't already encompass all your interests/passion, which likely doesn't), even when the prospect of making money off of them is zero. You owe it yourself, especially your older self, to at least try
