Hello wonderful readers, welcome back to my article page once again. Kindly do well to follow me if you have not done that yet and get more updates and interesting articles to read everyday.
I know you were probably intrigued by the title of this article and you are wondering how true this is. Well, I was also surprised when I discovered that a guy’s penis can break. This injury is known as Penile Fracture.
A penile fracture is not the same as a break in a bone. Instead, it is a rupture in the two areas of the penis responsible for erections: that is, the corpora cavernosa and the penile sheath.
A penile fracture is a tear in the tunica albuginea. The tunica albuginea is the rubbery sheath of tissue below the skin that allows the penis to increase in width and length to produce a firm erection. Sometimes the erectile tissue beneath the tunica albuginea also ruptures.
A penile fracture is a rare and alarming injury that may occur during sexual intercourse. Although penis fracture can result from injury during any position in sexual intercourse, certain practices increase the odds. In heterosexual men, the woman-on-top position increases your risk. When the penis is momentarily blocked at the entrance to the vagina, the woman’s full weight can forcefully bend the erection. The woman may also rock too far forward or backward, bending the shaft of the penis which can lead to breaking of the penis.
A penile fracture has also been known to occur in the following circumstances:
1. Forceful bending of the penis during vaginal intercourse.
2. Rolling over in bed onto an erect penis.
3. Hitting an erect penis on something, such as a door frame or furniture.
4. Falling onto an erect penis.
5. Traumatic masturbation.
A penile fracture will often cause the penis to take on what doctors call an “eggplant deformity,” where the penis appears purple and swollen. Because the injury can cause long-lasting damage to a man’s sexual and urinary function, it is important to seek emergency medical attention.
Penile fracture is a medical emergency. If it happens, you need to get to a hospital as soon as possible, and you will probably need surgery.
I hope you found this article interesting and educative.
