Every day, we gain knowledge and learn new things. It's impossible to equate how we thought five years ago to how we think now. In one way or another, the life we lived back then must have differed from the life we live now. The majority of our "wives" from those days are no longer with us. In other words, when we are younger, we make some poor decisions without thinking about the consequences. When you reach the age of 50, there are a number of things you may come to regret:
1. “Marrying the wrong person”
Take your time when you're still young and make sure you marry the right guy. Don't date anyone for their appearance, status, or money. Date someone you know you'll get along with. Many elderly people reach their senior years and begin to regret not being more cautious before marrying. When you're young, make sure you choose the right partner.
2. “The opportunities you frittered away”
They say that chances only come along once in a lifetime. While you are still young, many doors will open for you, but only a few will take advantage of them. Make the most of any opportunity that presents itself to you while you are still young. Take advantage of them now so you won't regret it later.
3. “The God you turned your back on”
There is power in a young man's desire to worship the God he desires. But you wanted to wait until you were old to begin praying to Him. I'm sorry, but you'll realize you've made a major mistake by then, and it'll be too late to correct it.
4. “The kid you chose to abort”
Some women can't keep track of how many pregnancies they've aborted. When they become pregnant, they become afraid and terminate the pregnancy as soon as possible. Don't be shocked if, as the money comes in, you wish those children were still alive to see the performance. Being a single mother does not rule out the possibility of success in life. It doesn't rule out the possibility of meeting a man and beginning a new life with him.
5. "The child you denied"
You got her pregnant and refused to be a father because you don't think you're ready. You sent her away with the infant, and she is solely responsible for the baby. When you're older and see your child prosper and become great in life, you'll wish you hadn't rejected the baby.
6. “The ex-husband or wife you divorced”
You fell in love and got married as a result. After the marriage, everything was perfect, and you felt as though you'd spend the rest of your life with your partner. Months later, you became unfaithful, began cheating, and your wife found you repulsive, so you chose to end it. When you're older, you'll look back on how foolish it was to abandon the love of your life for another. You'd see the harm you'd done to yourself, your children, and your spouse.
7. “The talents and dreams you stifled”
You were gifted as a child; you do things that an average person does not do, and you excel at them. However, when you grew older, you chose to disregard your abilities. Due to peer pressure and parental guidance, you studied a course in which you had little interest. Don't waste years of your life in a profession that will never satisfy you; go back until it's too late.
8. “The money you squandered”
Since you have a large salary, you can afford to spend lavishly. You are the O.G. in your neighborhood, the rich kid who spends lavishly, and you live with the mentality that "if this ends, another will come." There will come a time when you will say, "If only I had known."
9. "The body you messed with" You only get one life, so you chose to be an alcoholic in order to fit in. You started smoking pot without realizing you were slowly losing yourself. When you're 50, you'll wish you had taken better care of your body when you were younger and exercised more; but, the harm has already been done.
“The time you squandered” is number ten.
They claim that time is money, but only the wise can invest it wisely. If you are the kind of person who wastes time, you will come to regret not taking advantage of the opportunity. You wish you could go back in time and use the time, but it's too late.
11. "The name you defamed"
You believe you are still young and can do anything that comes your way; you believe that as you get older, you will leave your current community and migrate to another. You burned your legacy and threw away your pride. You forgot that your acts could come back to haunt you in the future. What a pity!
12. "The good love that eluded me"
You have some special people in your life, but you have thrown them away due to a lack of knowledge. You know they have good hearts, but you cut ties with them because you don't want to be dominated and just want to enjoy life. There will come a time when you will think to yourself, "What if I was still friends with so and so?"
13. "You despised your parents"
You think your parents are out of step because they don't follow the current fashion trends. You prefer to disregard them and live your life your way. You let them die without adequately caring for them, as if they were a burden. There will come a moment when you wish they were with you, but it will be too late, unlikely.
ADVICE IN A NUTSHELL
It's never too late to improve yourself. Start now to prevent disappointment later.
