"You Adored and Pushed me Higher, Thank you for the Lifts to Circle to continue my Journey Home after Work when I didn't have a Car"
Nana Aba Anamoah has made an interesting revelation recently about her experience with Oheneyire Gifty Anti during her days at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
According to the outspoken Journalist, Oheneyire Gifty Anti was one of the few personalities back then at GBC who wholeheartedly believed in her.
Her most humbling experience with Oheneyire Gifty was how Selfless the woman was towards her.
As stated by Nana Aba, she remains grateful and would always be grateful for the "Presents" and "Lifts" Gifty Anti used to give her to 'Circle' (a suburb in Accra) to continue her journey home as she didn't have a Car of her own at the time.
Nana Aba Anamoah maintained that this was the first time she was making a public statement about this remarkable experience she had with Oheneyire.
I am quite sure most of the older youth in Ghana today would remember how Oheneyire Gifty Anti used to be very vibrant on GTV.
Gifty Anti was one of the delectable and beautiful broadcasters on Gtv whom people couldn't wait to watch her anchor the news.
Indeed she was and is still beautiful to behold on our screens.
Nana Aba Anamoah indeed must have been fortunate to begun her journalism career under her mentorship.
Two of the most important 'must have' in practicing any profession especially Journalism is one's confidence and experience.
No matter how talented, you are, you must have confidence and a bit experience to make your work more attractive and enjoyable.
So for young Nana Aba Anamoah back in the year 2001 there about to have had the opportunity to work under the watch of Gifty Anti must have been a great source of experience that perhaps have contributed to her career success.
So to the young and up and coming Journalist, Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants, Politicians Sales Personnel, Marketer etc, be submissive and learn the ethics of your respective profession, gathering all the expertise, experiences and the confidence you will need to gather the momentum as you kick start your career.
Also it is very important for Supervisors, Departmental Heads and people in authority at various work places or organizations to mentor and support inexperienced graduates to also excel in their future endeavors.
As Oheneyire did for Nana Aba and Nana Aba has also in return done for Serwaa Amihere.
Believe and trust in their abilities and delegate some of your job responsibilities to them under your guidance.
It is in this direction that the young people too can develop their confidence and skills to excellency in their work.
God bless you Oheneyire Gifty Anti for the impact you made in Nana Aba Anamoah at the time when she started pursuing her dreams.
Congratulations as the Standpoint marks also, its 13th year of making cherished impact in the lives of women both in Ghana and abroad.
Indeed we must listen to the 'Feminine Side'.
