News on the divorce of billionaire Bill Gates and Melinda became a major story this week worldwide. The crust of this interest stemmed from the curiosity of people wondering how the alimony settlement was going to be like. For many, their understanding was that there was going to be an almost equal share of the wealth of Bill Gates. For this reason, many were looking at how his $130.4 billion estate was going to be shared between him and his wife.
Well, it seems those who had such wild concerns can have some peace as the billionaire is still in the league of the top ten richest people in the world
Cascade Investment, Bill Gate’s investment vehicle, is believed has transferred nearly $2.4 billion in securities to Melinda Gates on Monday. The next day his net worth dropped slightly, from $130.4 billion to $128.1 billion, as indicated by Forbes. However, Bill Gates maintained his status as the fourth richest person in the world.
What this means is that, the wife of Gates, Belinda has become a billionaire overnight.
