People become homeless for a variety of reasons. It's extremely inconvenient to not know what you'll eat the next day in a mysterious place where you don't know anybody.
Some people became homeless as a result of being sent to school and then engaging in activities unrelated to school, which led to an awkward situation in which they were forced to do the unthinkable in order to survive. There are those who sell themselves to Nigerians in Pretoria, lying to their parents at home that they are working.
When you're supposed to go home after a long time, you need something different, like new clothes or a new car, to show your friends that you're doing well, even though you know it's a lie. Peer pressure is one of the factors that leads to most children sleeping on the streets rather than embracing the situation and moving on with the help of their families.
Parents must be careful on how they treat their children.
These young girls are said to be living in a garbage bin, according to photos posted on social media. We mostly see this type of life in Johannesburg. Some children are being watched by their parents, but they are unable to return home or seek help because they have become addicted to narcotics and other substances that harm their minds.
All we can do is pray for them and hope that one day they can be reunited with their families. No parent would be amused to see their children in such a state.
