Love is a wonderful thing that exists between two people who agreed to come together as one. Loving someone should involve mutual understanding between two people, and it is wrong to force or be forced into loving someone we never have feelings for. We all have what we look for in someone we want to date, it may be money, it may be the physical appearance or the person's behaviour and even family background.
Some women are patient and can start up with their man from the scratch with the hope that things will get better in the future, but some women prefer the present, and they don't care about the future of a man at all. If love is to be defined accordingly, it should mean tolerance, understanding, and endurance between the two partners because not everyone will make it from the beginning of their careers.
Toyin Lawani, who is a well-known brand influencer, stylist, fashion model and a successful entrepreneur, always has other ideals. The single mother of one from Nigeria stated bluntly that she can never date a broke and ugly man. While her statement might sound careless, we must realise that a lot of young ladies out there also think like her because of what they have been exposed to at a tender age.
She made this shocking statement on her Instagram account in 2019 while talking about her experience in her previous relationships. She said on her Instagram account at the time that she was single and searching, but that she would never date a broke and ugly man no matter the circumstances. She, however, gave a reason for her statement, saying that men turn out to be deceivers, and they will cheat on you after you have endured difficult moments with them. She also revealed that rich, broke and ugly guys will cheat whenever they have money, so it is better to date a rich man who would cheat but will take care of her.
Pictures of her with her husband on her wedding day:
The Beautiful model surprised the general public in 2021 after she tied the knot with a dark-skinned young man who is a popular celebrity photographer popularly known as segun-wealth. Judging by her statement, her husband is rich and handsome indeed but not the one people expected her to marry because of her social and money-driven lifestyle.
We must learn that not all glitters are gold, and our women should realise that all men are not the same, personality plays a key role in human behaviour, and this has nothing to do with uniformity in behaviour.
Did she make the right decision? Let's hear your own opinion.
