It is every couple dream to live together till death do them apart but sometimes the storms in the marriage become too heavy for them that they call for separation. Some marriages collapsed on the very day the wedding was held. Some couples also call for divorce two or three years after getting to know that they are not compatible with each other on various grounds.
But Dr and Mrs Boadi-Siaw has been able to live together as a couple for 50 years now. According to them, Jesus Christ has always been at the centre of their marriage. In times of trial, they call on God to come and calm down things in their marriage. There is no marriage without problems and challenges but the moment you allow Christ into the marriage, peace finds its way into the union.
Mr and Mrs Boadi-Siaw are a couple based in Cape Coast and they celebrated their 50 years of glorious marriage on Sunday, 5th September 2021. Looking at their pictures, you could notice that they might be in their late 70's but they look beautiful and happy. This can only happen in a marriage where there is peace and harmony among the couples.
Speaking to their photographer, Mr and Mrs Boadi-Siaw summarized the definition of marriage in one word; COMMITMENT. Commitment, not as a chore but to God and one another. Meaning they decided to make their marriage work no matter the challenges they face. Forgiving each other and making sure there is a proper understanding between them. May God grant us the grace and wisdom to marry well, according to His will.
