In this modern era, most ladies prefer luxurious weddings which come at a very high price. The use of wedding gowns, suits, cars, cakes, food, drinks, bottled water, decorations, and rentals of canopies and chairs make the ceremony very expensive. Some couples cannot afford expensive weddings but for the sake of the influence of friends and families, some couples even take loans to finance their weddings.
The young beautiful lady in your picture is probably between the ages of 20 and 30 years old and according to her, she has always preferred a private wedding with her partner. As a result of this, when the day of their union drew near, she discussed it with her partner and he accepted. The families from both sides also agreed to this and they had their wedding privately.
If you look at the photos in this article, you can see that the couple went to court with only their parents to sign the ordinance documents. After signing the marriage documents, the couple exchanged kisses, and the people present as witnesses clapped for them. After this, they went to a beautiful place to take their wedding pictures.
They didn't bother themselves to event friends or buy expensive wedding gowns and suits. They just wear their beautiful decent dress and got married. With this type of marriage, they have cut down on unnecessary wedding expenditures. Some Ghanaians after coming across this said that most Ghanaian ladies will not agree with this type of marriage.
Even if they agree to this type of marriage, their families and friends will convince them that a private wedding is an abomination. In the long run, they will choose a type of wedding where the expenditure exceeds their budget.
Check out some of the reactions from some Ghanaians below:
