Early this morning around 6:30 a.m. an accident has just occurred in the Abuakwa - Nkawie road in Kumasi which has led to the death of 8 passengers on board as I'm speaking.
Eye witness narrated that, a sprinter which was full of passengers coming from Abuakwa was trying to overtake another taxi but in the process, the sprinter vehicle failed its break and got smashed into a cargo vehicle heavily loaded with plantain coming from Bibiani.
The accident was so critical that it has led to the death of the sprinter driver and a couple of passengers on board. Other injured passengers are also taken to the Nkawie hospital for treatment as im speaking right now.
Overtaking has contributed to the death of many souls in this country. I would humbly advise all passengers in this country to avoid overtaking.
What are your suggestions for this accident? What should drivers do to curb the spread of accidents?
