Police Arrest Two Suspected Robbers Involved In East Legon Robbery Incident

As Chrismass approaches, the Police Administration have stepped up efforts in dealing with criminals in the Country which seems to be yielding results.

The Accra Regional Police Command on Sunday dawn arrested two suspected armed robbers, Samuel Agyei and Sumaila Mahama on suspicion of their involvement in a robbery at East Legon.

The two suspects were arrested after receiving a distress call by the Police Patrol team that some unknown men had invaded a neighborhood at CL Estate, East Legon Hillls.

The Patrol team rushed to the scene and with the help of residents managed to arrest the two suspected robbers.

A search conducted by the Police on the spot led to the retrieval of a 75 inch curved TV set, an IPhone 12 pro max, a Techno smart phone and a revolver pistol with 4 rounds of ammunition.

The Patrol team also found a Kia Saloon Car parked by the roadside by the suspects to transport their booty.

The two suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations and will be put before Court in due time.
