Natural disaster

Irreparable damages caused by flooding in Ghana and those affected recently.

With the change in climatic conditions, one can hardly predict the seasonal rainfall as we used to do. This is supposed to be the minor season but it looks like it could be more than that.

The rate at which flooding has become rampant in the country claiming lives, causing financial hardship and impeding development had become alarming.

Due to climatic changes, recent heavy downpour of rain have caused a lot of damage more than good in various areas as a result of improper waste disposal, deforestation, silting to mention but few in the country.

The recent Upper West flooding as well as that of the Tamale and many others have seen irreparable damages causing lost of lives, destruction to farm produce, destruction of road etc.

The flooding issues seems to have caused the government to outlay huge sums of money to evacuate flood victims through the National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO in their evacuation issues of flood victims, releasing of disaster relief items etc.

Transportation of people, goods and services are hampered whiles cholera and other related diseases coming out as a result of flooding issue are all the burdens coming out of flooding issues in the country.
