Five more people who suffered severe burns are being treated at the Hwidiem St Elizabeth Hospital.
A strong storm struck at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, causing extensive damage to homes and several power lines.
Some people were rushed to the hospital after it was suspected that they had touched iron gates and metal items in the electrified homes.
However, when doctors on duty arrived, they were pronounced dead.
He called the incident "unfortunate" and vowed that the government would assist the families of those killed and wounded.
Robert Dwomoh Mensah, the Asutifi South District Chief Executive, and some officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation accompanied the Regional Minister (NADMO).
The burned remains were taken to the hospital and deposited there.
