The Wa Senior High Technical School in Wa had its dormitory block affected as the rains took away the roofing sheets of the block rendering some of the students homeless.
The Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Hifiz Bin Salih Together with the Regional NADMO Director have since visited the school to assess the magnitude of the unfortunate event.
Kabanye Islamic Junior High School in Wa was also affected.
In a statement released by the Upper West Regional Minister, it reads:
"This afternoon, I was joined by the Regional Director of Education and the Regional Director of NADMO to inspect buildings at Wa Senior High Technical School that were hit by rainstorm on Friday 16th April 2021. The damage caused by the rainstorm is huge. As a result of the damage on the main boys house, I directed the school authority to immediately evacuated all the students from the building."
