Esther Amponsah, a young lady from Apeatse in Bogoso painfully shares where she has been sleeping after the Apiatse explosion. According to Esther, she was living with her parents and three siblings, but the mother died two weeks after giving birth to her last child. Her father doubted their mother's death, so he consulted a fetish priest who revealed to him that his wife was cursed by her customer after they argument on money.
Esther said that after her mother's funeral, her family members did not help them with to look after the baby, her father had to hire another woman to take care of the baby. On the day the Apiatse explosion occurred, she was out of town to pick up her siblings from school later that afternoon, but she got a call from a neighbor telling her not to come home due to the explosion.
The young lady said she started shivering because her father was sick in the room and couldn't go out on his own, and she tried to go home and save him but those people who were with her at that time stopped her. Esther said she came home after the explosion to find that their building had collapsed and her father was not been found.
The sad part of her story is that the woman who was looking after the baby abandoned him and never came back to pick up the baby, and no family member was willing to help care for the baby. Now she is homeless and sleeping in market squares with her siblings after the explosion. She also has to sell in the market before she can support herself and her siblings. Esther is pleading with the general public to help her take care of her siblings and get a room to live in.
