Following her experience with Personnel of the MTTU, Veteran Broadcaster Gifti Anti has taken to social media to heap praises on the Acting IGP, George Akuffo Dampare, saying that he has gotten the service to work again . It appears Mrs Anti's position as a public figure usually gives her easy pass with the traffic regulators but from her today's encounter which she shared on Facebook, there is an indication that strict application of the law irrespective of who is involved will be the new normal for the Dampare - led police force.
"Chai my people…The new Sheriff in town is not playing oh. New Acting IGP is getting his people to work.Today, I had an encounter with the police. Let’s say they applied the law p33p3," the standpoint host posted on her Facebook page.
She further disclosed that as a result of her not - too - pleasant encounter and for fear that she may be arrested and prosecuted the next time to serve as deterrent to others, she has resolved to visit the DVLA office to probably renew her driving license.
"Errmrmrm…. the long and short of the story is that I am heading to DVLA today!! I don’t want to go to court and be made a good example," the former GBC News Anchor added.
