Police men wake up and say goodbye to their families with hope that they will return from work. Their families also wish them the best of luck with the mindset that they will see them again. But did you know that not all of these men in the police force working hard for the country and their families make it home? Some of them lose their lives to the robbery gangs on the streets.
Some lose their lives through gunshots and many other incidents whiles others lose their lives in their line of operation through other accidents. Some Police men have sacrificed their lives during operations and this shows how much the country and its state of peace means a lot to these people.
A police constable who was killed at the spot today has been making waves on the media after he was crashed by a moving truck. According to the truck driver, he lost control over the vehicle and that’s why we heard this sad news. But many believe he was probably stopped and refused to stop thereby doing this by crushing him to death.
Constable Ernest Newton Deamena has lost his life painfully on duty. The constable, Ernest from reports was stationed at the operations department of the Savannah regional police command. He was on duty at Buipe when this sad and unfortunate incident happened. The savanna regional police command led by DCOP Ebenezer Larbie visited the families of the deceased and paid their respect to him.
The matter is still being investigated as it is the only way to follow protocol on such issues. The Ghana police are looking into the matter and trying to find out the main cause and whether there are more to this than what we are hearing from the media and other platforms.
