The Pokuase interchange was commissioned by President Nana Addo Danquah Akufu Addo in July this year.This was to reduce traffic and hence travel time at this part of the town.During the construction, crash barriers was being provided to make work easier but Suspected thieves have stolen this crash barriers worth $35,000.
A resident of the area was interviewed.According to him,they met these suspected people when they were coming from church at dawn.But they thought they were the constructors and engineers working there because they wore overalls and reflectors.They watched them leave with their car after they removed this crash barriers.
Resident engineer said this crash barriers was worth $35,000.He also added that the issue was reported and under investigation.He then said they have had the signals since the street lights suddenly went off.They however did take it as anything as they said they will get an engineer to work on it.Then they came to work and the crash barriers was gone .
