The police officer lost his life after a truck driver lost control of his truck and crashed him to death instantly on September 29.
The family of Ernest Newton Dwamena has been visited at Kintampo, Bono East Region by the Police Command under the leadership of DCOP Ernest Larbi to sympathized.
Ag. IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has also extended his condolence to the family of the deceased police officer through a phone call.
The administration of the Ghana Police Service has sworn to look into the circumstances surrounding the issue and punish the truck driver accordingly.
The Police Service comes with a lot of insecurities as many police officers have died while executing their duties. Some meet their untimely death through gun wounds from armed robbers, drug peddlers among other criminals.
Notwithstanding, the Ghana Police Service is a noble institution that helps maintain law and order in the country and their efforts must be commended.
