The people of Bogoso-Appiate and its environs have received the best of news today, as their roads that were destroyed as a result of the huge explosion which occurred a few days ago, are now being fixed by the government. The route of the road which was heavily destroyed spans from Bogoso to Anyanfuri and is now under reconstruction.
The contractors in charge of the work are Earthworks Construction Company Limited. Their foreman, Nicholas Acheampong while speaking to the media said "We are now doing the cut and fill at the place where the explosion happened. So between today and tomorrow, we will finish the excavation. We have already started putting the boulders on it so maybe from today and tomorrow we can start our layers which will be done in one week time“.
However, since the unfortunate incident happened three days ago, there was an emergency road created to serve motorists on the Bogoso to Anyanfuri stretch while reconstruction of the main road is underway.
The town, Bogoso-Appiate, three days ago, saw a very unfortunate scene when a car carrying mining explosives crashed with a motor vehicle which caused a serious accident or explosion. This explosion, unfortunately, resulted in the death of some people in the area as well as many of them suffering wounds of different kinds.
Their houses were broken down, their roads were strongly affected, their electricity was affected, and almost everything in the town of Bogoso-Appiate was strongly affected.
However, the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia led a delegation from the government to inspect the scene and made promises to all affected that the government will seek to make their lives better by bringing normalcy to them.
“Government on its part is going to do everything to support the families,” Veep said
Today, we've heard and seen that the main road that was heavily affected is now being worked on by the government.
