Information reaching this portal from 37 station in Accra confirmed that a Toyota Camry with registration number GR 1708-21 was with a top speed from El Wak heading towards 37 station down to the traffic lights, There happens to be a space people usually stand for trading.
At that point the driver of the Toyota Camry failed brake and led him veered off the road knocking down 6 Pedestrians and traders at spot 3 were confirmed dead, while the other 3 sustained severe injuries who are said to be in a critical condition and were been rushed to 37 miliary hospital.
The deceased are, a doughnut seller, Youghurt seller and a woman who came to buy food for her son who is on admission at the hospital.
Unfortunately the driver with his colleague only sustained minor injuries, although the car damaged beyond repairs.
After eyewitness rushed to the scene, they found bottle of alcoholic drink on the front seat, which suggested that the driver was intoxicated, while they alleged that the suspects are known Sakawa guys in the area and might one of their numerous sacrifices.
This major accident occurred at the midnight of Thursday 15, 2021 around 12:10am.
