The Ga East branch of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has said adequate measures have been put in place to forestall any flooding catastrophe ahead of the rainy season.
The Director in charge of the outfit, Mr. Seth Osei Kissi reiterated that whilst Ga East NADMO is embarking on public education and sensitisation programmes, his outfit will soon inspect the flood-prone areas in the Municipality and other communities to ensure on how best to control situations when the rains start
In a press briefing yesterday , the NADMO Director indicated that some major drains have been dredged and identified as safer places for stranded people.
Mr. Seth Osei Kissi called on people living around the flood prone areas to move to safer places.
Aside that he also advised people from littering, insisting that the attitudes also contribute to environmental challenges that have been milking the country dry.
