The Police has released an official statement regarding the disappearance of Mrs Rhodaline Amoah - Darko, who left home in Kumasi for Sunyani on 30th August 2021 and has since not returned. The statement is signed BT the Director-General of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori.
The statement indicated that the husband of Rhodaline filed a complaint of a missing person with the police on 2nd September 2021. The statement further clarified some misconceptions in the case. It was rumoured that the woman travelled to Sunyani on an official assignment, assigned to her by the Lands Commission to deal with land issues for a client in Sunyani together with another colleague of hers.
The police clarified that the Lands Commission did not assign Mrs Rhodaline Amoah - Darko any work in Sunyani and no other worker of the commission was assigned any work of that sought. After she was found missing, news broke out that another worker of the Lands Commission in Kumasi had been found dead after both got missing. This the police declares as false and must be disregarded.
The statement added that a 24 - hours team is investigating the case to determine the outcome and officially release it to the public. The family of Mrs Rhodaline Amoah - Darko as well as her colleagues at the Lands Commission in Kumasi have all been assigned a clinical psychologist to support them psychologically in the difficult moment they find themselves.
The Police has assured the public to update us on any outcome of the case. Mrs Rhodaline has three children with her husband who is a lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She left the house on 30th August 2021 and told her husband she was leaving for Sunyani and has since not returned and nothing was heard from her also.
