A young man believe to be 28 - 30 years old was beaten to death by a group of people in Abisaase, a farming community in Berekum - West electoral area in the Bono Region of Ghana.
According to Kwabena kyere who is a driver and also a native of Nsuatre narrated to Akua Addae Nanaa London B, of Akomapa FM, that "on 22nd June 2021 at around 12am, whilst sleeping, my wife Anita waked and told me that our 2months 1 week baby girl has been taken by someone, so I quickly got up and Chase the person.
I shouted thief! Thief!! Which alarmed the individuals in the community, at about few meters to catch him, he threw the child on the ground and decided to run away but some of the youth that I cannot identified followed him to the bush but later I heard say, the thief has been killed by some unidentified group in Abisaase".
Kwabena kyere also stated that after the incident that he heard people complaining that the day before the incident a tricycle containing some strange people's came to the town to survey and later returned to their location so they suggest that those thieves were them.
Information gathered suggested that the thieves were five in a tricycle (pragya) and after stealing people's items, one of them enters in kyere's room to steal but when noticed that the is a newly born baby girl, he decided to take her and on the process that the mother heard the noice and informed her husband.
As at now nobody knows who murdered the guy.
