A young man has been arrested for stealing some electrical cables from the premises of a church at Akyem Apedwa in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The young man who is in his early thirties was identified as Kwaku Abu, a father of two children.
At 1am today, the young man was caught red-handed by some residents at the premises of the Akyem Osiem Savior church trying to steal some electrical cables from the church's storage room.
The people arrested the young man and upon questioning, he revealed that, he had a ready customer who was seeking to buy these cables from him.
According to some residents, that was not the first time such a thing had happened in the community. It was something that has been going on for sometime now.
The young man was severely beaten by some of the residents and was later handed over to the Akyem Osiem police for further investigations.
