Video of a young man and a lady being tied to a pole and receiving lashes at the forecourt of the Wa Naa's Palace has gone viral on social media.
According to report, the two were seen in a leaked tape having an affair which got them punished.
People who are in the view that the punishment wasn't necessary have spoken against it.
However, the Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the viral video where the two were flogged at the forecourt of the Wa Naa's Palace.
Police report says the suspects, Sidiki Osman, Bushiran Khigir and Issahaku Mahama, were arrested with the support of the Wa Naa and some community members.
The Police are also pursuing other suspects to bring them to justice.
Police statement on the arrest below;
"Three of the Wa Viral Video Suspects Arrested
The Police have arrested three (3) persons in connection with a viral video in which some people were seen publicly flogging two people at the forecourt of the Wa Naa's Palace.
The suspects, Sidiki Osman, Bushiran Khigir and Issahaku Mahama, were arrested with the support of the Wa Naa and some community members. The three will be taken through the due process of the law.
The Police are pursuing the remaining suspects to arrest them to face justice."
