It is emerging that the Ghana Police Service has begun investigations into the viral video of Mr. John Dramani Mahama saving some two motor riders whilst on his way to Ho in the Volta Region for a very important assignment.
After the video went viral, most Ghanaians have expressed their opinions about the real cause of the accident of the two motorbike riders. Most people believe it was the convoy of Mr. John Dramani Mahama that knocked them and in the heat of the moment, the former President had to alight and help them out.
Others have indicated that John Dramani Mahama pounced on the accident and decided to assist the situation. There are currently mixed reactions but some persons have applauded the former president for his intervention. Others believed to be anti-NDC have alleged that the entire accident was staged to enable Mr. John Dramani Trend for his presidential ambition.
In all of these, the Police will have to ascertain the real cause of the accident and bring finality to the entire brouhaha. The investigations of the police will reveal if the two young men who were on board the motorbike had licenses or not. They will also unravel if the motorcycle is a commercial type and has been duly licensed.
The most important information Ghanaians are seeking from the police is whether Mr. John Dramani Mahama was being escorted by the riders or not. Mr. Kwadwo Dickson in a comment after reading the story on his news indicated that the Police have already begun probing and the outcome will be out soon.
In as much as some people are not in agreement with the former President due to political reasons, he deserves applauds for showing care. Some leaders would have overlooked the accident and drive away but he took the pain to stop and ensure the young men receive care before continuing his journey.
