Reports coming in suggest the Sekondi High Court one has delivered its judgment on the Kidnapped Takoradi Girls.
The accused were convicted on eight counts, and the Jury found them guilty on all. They are accused of murdering Ruth Love Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Priscilla Mantebea Korankye, and Ruth Abekah, in some parts of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis in 2018.
The two Nigerian accused are Samuel Udeotuk Wills and John Oji. The judgement has been met with mixed feelings from some family members who were in court on Friday, March 5, 2020.
Father of Priscilla Mintabea Korankye Mr. Korankye told reporters that he accepts the judgement in good faith. “I have to accept the judgment because I believe the Police forensic report. But if my daughter is still alive, she will one day come home”. He told Nana Yaw Kumi of Skyy Power FM.
Mr. Bentum, the father of Priscilla Bentum on the other hand indicated that his daughter is still alive. “I believe my daughter is still alive. They have been sentenced, but I don’t believe they killed my daughter. They have not told us the truth since day one. I believe my daughter will come back one day”. He noted.
The four girls were reported missing in 2018. The police later found their remains in a septic tank at Takoradi.
