A video featuring a female amputee named Mary Daniels went viral a few weeks ago. Mary Daniels was seen in the video hustling on the street selling sachet water with just one leg. The video went viral and touched the hearts of many Nigerians, who saw the girl as someone who wanted to be helped and donated N25 million to help her live a better life.
The lady was treated to a lovely birthday party, and the funds were deposited into her bank account. However, things changed for the lady when the Nigerian government discovered that much of what the amputee lady Mary Daniels said in the interview was a lie. The government has confiscated the money that was donated to her, and the lady has been arrested for further investigation.
Only fate will determine when the money will be returned to her. Despite some shortcomings in her narrative, some people on social media believe the government should take into account her plight and assist her in living a better life.
