The Kibi Police command had information that some people on board toyota saloon car were stealing goats and sheep at Akyem Akropong and were heading towards kibi. The patrol team mounted snap check on Adadientem - kibi road.
The suspects on seeing the police ran through the blockade. They were given a hot chase, halt their vehicle by firing the offside front tyre and arrested them at Obretema on the Accra - Kumasi highway.
The Toyota corolla saloon with registration number GS 3332- 20 was searched, 20 livestock were found, 13 live goats, 5 dead goats and 2 sheep.
The vehicle was towed and impounded at the kibi district police station while the suspects are detained pending investigation.
Theft cases have shot up recently and the earlier attention is given, the better for the general public.
