Missing Takoradi Woman Declared Suspect; Three Others Arrested For Possible Conspiracy

The Western Regional Police have comfirmed that Madam Josephine Mensah, the missing but found Takoradi woman was not pregnant.

In a statement, the police says examinations conducted by doctors at the Azim hospital shows that she was not pregnant. Checks at the European hospital in Takoradi, where Josephine said she has been attending antenatal review also revealed that she was not pregnant when she visited the facility in October, 2020.

The Police have therefore concluded that Josephine might have faked her pregnancy and kidnapping incident. Consequently, she has been officially declared a suspect.

According to the police, investigations suggest that the victim, now suspect may have conspired with others for a possible plan of kidnapping and disappearance.

Three other persons have been arrested by the police for further investigation for conspiracy charges.

This latest information is in conformity with the Tuesday revelation by the Western Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah which suggested that Josephine was not pregnant as widely reported.
