Braimah Kamoko buries mother in Bible-like casket after Mahama refused to buy him the Golden casket

Ghanaian boxer and comedian, Braimah Kamoko who is popularly known as Bukom Banku stormed Awukugua, a town in the Eastern region to give his late mother a closure. Banku was accompanied by his entourages to the funeral including his former boxing rival, Ayitey Powers, who was spotted walking beside him. The 36 year old gave her mother a befitting closure as she was buried in a bible-like coffin. Bukom Banku's mother kicked the bucket on May 20th this year after she battled long illness. According to Banku, her mom was unwell for 17 years and since he was the first Child, he was encumbered with the responsibility of taking care of her.

Bukom Banku unfortunately lost his father at a very tender age and grew up living with his mother, who cared and supported him till he turned adult. As a result he was deeply hurt when he received the news about his mother's demise. However, he gave his mother a befitting closure today at Awukugua and we continue to extend our condolences to the boxer and his family.

Few days after his mother's death, the boxer granted an interview on SVTV, where he revealed that, former Ghana president, John Mahama has promised to buy him a Golden casket for his mother's burial, at his request. Banku claimed he wasn't going to spend a dime on his mother's funeral since he had affluent fathers in the country, including the Ex president who will cough up money to arrange for the funeral. However, her mother's casket at Awukugua today was clearly not a golden one, which has raised questions as to why the former president refused to honour his promise.

We are yet to know who bankrolled the funeral as well since Banku himself claimed he wasn't going to take any cost from the funeral
