Three in critical condition at Tema, Community 11 road accident
The love of patience many drivers don't have, because if they did, this day wouldn't have become sad for Tema motorist. Kwame Evans a motorcycle rider has been hit with severe injuries, after the impatience of another driver, almost rendered him lifeless. Kwame is a motorist who feeds his family, from the daily sales he makes from riding motorcycles. He is a cautious man and has never gotten into any accident, ever since he started driving motorcycles. Kwame was coming from the hospital road, at Tema Community 11, when he met his death on the road.
Community 11 is one of the several communities built in the busy Tema City. It is considered a fast moving community, because of the abundance of retail settlements. It was the city which was purposely built to house shops, and other businesses for the numerous Tema communities. All kinds of businesses including a major hospital, is found at Community 11.
Kwame was called to deliver items from a shop, to a customer. He went to deliver the items, but unfortunately for him, the customer rejected the items the shop gave. Kwame was to deliver the items back to the shop in community 11, which he did, and met his accident when he was going out of the community. He has just delivered the items back to the shop, but the shop didn't have the particular item the customer wanted, so Kwame was relieved of his duties to go and work.
On his way out of Community 11, coming from the Hospital road, is where he made a turn to use a short road to meet a passenger. From the hospital road, Kwame navigated to using the St. Joseph the worker Catholic Church road, for short distance. Right at the junction of the Medimart Pharmacy, was where a Toyota corolla driver failed to check, before hitting the main road. Kwame was coming with full speed, and the Toyota corolla driver thought Kwame was going to use the pedestrian road, to make way for him to use the main road.
The poor judgement of the Toyota driver, lead Kwame into crashing into the right front bonnet of the Toyota corolla. Just seconds to crash the corolla, was when Kwame made a tactical call to feel from the motorcycle. He did exactly that, and fell hard on the asphalt road. He wasn't in helmets, and sustained severe injuries to the head and the ribs. The motorcycle crashed the right front bonnet of the Toyota corolla, after Kwame fell from it. He would have crashed the Toyota corolla and would have died on spot, if he hadn't made that important safety call.
Two people who were standing by the roadside waiting for taxi, was hit by Kwame's motorcycle and both fell to the hard asphalt. They broke their kneels and were rushed to the Rasphal Medical Center for urgent care. Police were yet to respond to the scene, before the post was made.
