Two arrested for attempting to bribe police over seized illegal mining machines

Two presumed unlawful diggers have been captured by the Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command trying to pay off officials to return their held onto coordinations.

The two have been distinguished as Kwaku Bosompim, 27 and Kofi Owusu, 24.

The two went to the police headquarters requesting that the held onto coordinations are gotten back to them and furthermore endeavored paying off the police.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Assin Fosu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Nicholas Fifii Baakoh talking on the issue said, his outfit set out on an activity to free of the space of unlawful diggers.

He revealed to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm that the suspects would be managed by the law.

He said the activity was to assist them with analyzing the degree of harms to networks where unlawful mining was progressing.

He cautioned government officials and bosses not to meddle with the progressing exercise.

He vowed to finish the issue and guarantee the wrongdoers are indicted.
