President Nana Akuffo Addo, Dr Bawumia, the Oyoko family of Sakra-Wonoo, the New Patriotic Party and other well wishers attended the final funeral rites of Former New Patriotic Party Stalwart, Lawyer Afiriyie A.K.A Sir John during the week.
Some of the dignitaries who gathered at Sir John's funeral are likely to converge at the Forecourt of the State House, Accra, tomorrow Sunday 6th June, 2021, as the Muslim Community and the Tijaniyya Sect hold the Adua (final funeral rites) of the Late Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Mohammed Salisu Shaban.
A flyer for the funeral has prominent people like Vice President Dr Mahmud Bawumia, Former President John Dramani Mahama, National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Hunu Sharubutu and Sheikh Muhammadou Mane Cisey of Senegal. The programme is scheduled to start at exactly 10:00 AM, tomorrow.
The Second Gentleman of Ghana considered the late Sheikh as his (Dr Bawumia) own father. This was evident when he (Dr Bawumia) delivered an emotional message upon hearing of Sheikh Salisu Shaban's sudden demise.
Sheikh Mohammed Salisu Shaban was called by his maker (Allah) on Tuesday, 27th April, 2021. His Adua has been delayed because invitations have to reach his followers in Senegal, Togo, Benin and the entire Muslims in Ghana.
