Ya-Na Abukari II, the overlord of Dagbon has told the Police Command to stop arresting persons involved in recent disturbances in the Tamale that led to the vandalizing of public properties.
In a brief statement of the chief of Dagbon, “His Majesty is also, with immediate effect, advising the police command and other security forces involved in this exercise to avoid the arrest of the youth while he finds an amicable solution to the impasse,” the statement read.

It is told that some areas in Tamale are currently without light as the NEDCo staff has withdrawn their services for the fear of losing their lives when it was alleged that the residents want to kidnap some of the staff members.
However, the chief has called on the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo), to consider the vital factors of their services and restore power in areas that are currently in darkness.
The overlord of Dagbon also admonished the youth and those engaged in this power theft and untoward act to desist from it as it is illegal.
