Currently, several people have lost their lives and some are in the neighboring clinics and hospitals receiving treatments. There have been several videos showing how the community looks like after the explosion.
According to the Ghana Police Service a motorcycle collided with a vehicle transporting a container containing the explosives from Takwa to Chirano. Several residents have lost their lives and others have been taken to the nearby hospitals and clinics for treatments.
Some residents were heard talking about how the place has been destroyed and a man was also heard talking about his children and their whereabouts.
From the video the man was heard saying that, "he is unable to find even one of his children. He said this in Twi. This clearly shows that, the explosion at Apiate has indeed caused a lot of harm."
Below is the video showing the exploded area and the voice of the man saying he can't even find one of his children.
