Leticia Kyere Pinaman
A 16-year-old student of the Miracles Senior High School (SHS) in Sunyani in the Bono Region has allegedly committed suicide.
The deceased, who has been identified as Leticia Kyere Pinaman, was found dead and hanging at the school’s dining hall by some of her colleagues on Monday, May 17, 2021.
Pinaman was a final-year student, according to multiple reports. It is also unclear what led her to take her own life.
The unfortunate incident reportedly happened when the rest of the students were at the church auditorium for Bible studies.
According to the school’s Housemistress, the incident came to her attention when she heard students shouting and wailing from the kitchen.
“I heard the students shouting, so I rushed there and saw her hanging…I quickly rushed to the church auditorium to call the proprietor and the proprietress,” she said, according to Myjoyonline.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Sunyani regional hospital morgue for autopsy.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
