A 17-year-old final year student of Miracle Senior High School in Sunyani in the Bono region, Leticia Kyere Pinaman has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at the school’s dinning Hall.
The sad incident occurred on Monday, May 17th 2021 around 7:30pm while the rest of the students were at the church auditorium for Bible studies. A note found on the deceased read “There is so much sorrow and pain in my heart”
The Housemistress of the school, Gifty Acheampong in an interview noted she was at the kitchen where she was ensuring the food for the students when she heard of the incident. Immediately, she rushed to the place only to see her body hanging on a noose.
According to the mother, there was no real sign that the 14-year-old hung herself. She pointed out that there was no chair or table at the scene which the deceased could have used to climb to the rope. Although, colleagues of the deceased reported that she has been moody all day, we do not know for the what led to her sudden death.
